Vitaly earned the Jamie Chartlon Leadership Award in 2017 from NeXT Basketball Foundation in recognition of his leadership skills and contributions on the court and within his community.

Vitaly collecting jars of peanut butter and jelly in 2016 from neighbors to contribute to a holiday food drive sponsored by the Driven Foundation.

Vitaly volunteered at the Columbus Zoo during the summer months in 2019 as a Zoo Aide. He provided direction to zoo patrons and interfaced with children during zoo programming. 2020 involvement is 

contingent on the opening of the Columbus Zoo (currently closed due to COVID-19).
